up the top of halloween street
high above the town
gary the ghost and sam the skeleton
lived in a two up, two down

halloween was fast approaching
and gary was keen to scare
he waited for sam at the top of the stairs
and screamed for the world to hear

sam was spooked and fell down the stairs
his bones lay everywhere
his arms, leg, hip and ribs
a jumble beyond compare

gary didn't know what to do
as sam's head rolled out the door
fast moving down the hill
gary shouted help me out

so all the monsters of halloween street
chased after sam's head
frankenstein, the werewolf
and dora the witch on her broom

gary helped sam get himself together
piece by piec and bone by bone
but sam was still missing a head
it was rolling down the road

sam's head rolled past the monsters
getting faster as it went
until dracula called peter the pumpkin
who lived down the road

peter borrowed some bandages
from melissa the mummy next door
they stretched them across the road
and caught sam's head with ease

so now sam is back together
can go scaring once more
be careful this halloween
when you hear a knock upon your door
