Magicland

lyrics

i lay 'neath the clouds on a calm spring day
wanting to leave a world that has nothing for me
i'm gonna cross the bridge and see if the stories are true
enter a world unknown, test the faith in my soul
and take a step in to magicland

i could be a prince there, or so i have read
i'll risk the wizards spell, prove my love to that girl
i could find a new world, deal with devil and saint
leave this world behind, use dreams to find my place
life looks better in magicland

there are places to go, hells gate and the clouds above
in the ice palace lives a wise-man of old
so many dangers but each is worth the risk
ghosts on the river defending a witch
life is an adventure in magicland

the spell was bound to strike as my kingdom fell
i don't wanna miss the chance to explore another world
we're all told stories of a different time and place
the harp is playing, there's a man at peace
let me enjoy the sounds of magicland

up above the treetops and dancing on the clouds
overlooking this fantastic world

it's all across the boarder, not far from where i lay
diamonds are a bonus to an adventurer's grave
with a heart so pure and a quest so inspired
saving love is like bottling time
so let me waste the hours in magicland

across rivers and waterfalls death i will face
i can pay him off, every fool wants the gold
the piper draws me near and i'll be leaving soon
for the days i have will be free and true
i'm never coming back from magicland

i look forward to adventure in this kingdom of crystals
in enchanted forests i'll meet dragons and trolls
i've heard tales of pirates visiting this land
seeking treasure from the castle in the sky
i'm living in a fairytale in magicland
